One comment on “A Visualisation of Rhetological Fallacies

  1.      Interestingly, the claim that global warming is human-caused rests on “appeal to authority.” I know, I know, the writers say “untrustworthy authority” so that they can decide who is trustworthy and who isn’t based on who agrees with them. But that’s the whole nature of “appeal to authority.” Any time you, I, or anyone else identifies someone as using the fallacy, it is the one hearing the “argument” who has decided that the “authority” is not trustworthy. But, if the argument has merit, the authority (trusted or not) is not needed. You can just use the same evidence that led the “authority” to the conclusion.
